Thank you for letting us see your snake, Pumpkin. We learned how they eat mice, how they hunt, how they reproduce, that only snakes with puffy cheeks are venomous and that they live up to 30 years. You told us about how Native Americans put the snakes around the necks of their children to teach them to be still, so the snakes would not constrict, and so the children would be better hunters.
Your stories encouraged us to research many topics, like the House of Mercy Hospital, the natural history of Inwood Park, and the ways the Native Americans lived in this area.
We really enjoyed the inviting way you used humor, your enthusiasm and the bountiful knowledge you brought to share. You were able to answer all of our questions! The professional way you informed us about park programs was quite inviting. Many of us look forward to participating in future park events that are generously offered to the public. You said the park belongs to everybody, and we'll be back soon.
Thank you again for an amazing experience!
